John Lennon - Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Haha, now you wonder, what the heck am I writing this with out of sudden companion by a legend John Lennon song? I'm more less like Beatlesmania now. Not that maniac actually, but just to this song. Somehow, the song got stuck on my head when I listened to it at The Beatles Story Exhibition, Liverpool. The moment I saw the 'This is not here' section, it was like a magnetic attraction to me. The highlight 'You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope someday you'll join us, And the world will love as one', caught my eyes, and my ears started listening to the melody. The message he tried to convey here was quite clear. Just imagine, if there were no barriers made, sure a life could be liven up in peace.

Just a short history of the songwriter, after The Beatles disbanded, John Lennon went on solo performances, wrote few songs and one of the hits was actually this song, imagine. He actively involved in activism and was quite poetic in delivering his messages and thoughts.
