Movie review: Bad Genius

I'm hard to please, they say. Haha. Maybe yes, maybe not. They thought I would love 'Baby Drive', but I didn't. The storyline was too simple and plain. Nothing wow. So, they tried second attempt to invite for another movie and it was for 'Bad Genius'. It is Thailand's.

The first thing popped into my mind was the appearance of the heroine. She has the traits of my friend, Nucharin, tall, fair and skinny. It has been two years since I last saw her. I don't know if she has gained some weight or what not, but she is prettier day by day (based on instagram post, okay, I am just being biased as she is my best friend). I wrote a post on how I wish we could use the same trick using my Vietnamese friend, Tran as the genius (only in my dream).

Overall, the movie was fun. Refreshing, as it came with new idea. People said that it was based on true story, so, I am amazed by the genius' capability for having that crazy yet intelligent scheme. The ending was not fun as the antagonist remained bad. I wish Bank would not report the scheme to the authority and just lead his life the way he wanted. Whatever it is, the movie deserves a thumbs up from me.

Good job. It is just clever, yet thrilling.

Saving plan untuk noobies macam aku...

Every time I want to create a new post, the starting has always been like this "sorry for the long hiatus". (Whatever girl, the medium is yours. You can write whenever you are free). So, I won't be apologising this time. I will just write whatever I want whenever I want.

When the aging process starts, I start to think on so many thing i.e. career, hobbies, money, house, travels, health, diet, weight, handbags, etc. One new thing came up yesterday. I decided to write about it now. As per headline, I will talk about the plan I subscribed yesterday, for the first time.

One of my concerns nowadays is about money. I am sure I will have to do just fun in my life in future (not that I'm not having fun with my life now, just I have to be specific in deciding my hobbies) like travelling wherever I want, buying things I adore so much, treat myself to good foods, etc. Originally, I plan to just put my money in Tabung Haji (I will refer as TH from now on) instead of ASB. I learned that both give quite the same percentage of dividend and bonuses per year. Since I'm so lazy to pay the zakat by myself, I decided to put it all in TH since TH will auto deduct everything and leave me with net account balance in the final statement of the year. ASB? I just don't know what will happen to my money in you. Let the money grow by itself silently, eh? Then, the worry came as my greediness grew as adult. According to my colleague, TH only gives bonuses and dividend for the first RM10,000 of your saving in the account. If you save RM10,000 and more, you are just entitled to receive dividend. With the current health of global economy, I bet this plan won't give bigger return. So, I plan to save at somewhere else. Here it comes.

Allianz saving plan. Yes, it is that insurance company, Allianz. I just knew that Allianz is a German insurance company (Prudential is UK's by the way). Bear in mind, this plan needs your 20 years of commitment and you cannot withdraw easily (of course you can, it's your money anyway). If you withdraw, it will defeat the objective. This plan obviously looks a retirement plan. Since you won't be withdrawing the money you save now, you will surely enjoy it after 20 years (that's why I say it is too obvious). However, should any emergency come arise, you can always withdraw the GCP you get. So... what is GCP? GCP is guaranteed cash payment. Say, you are subscribing the RM10,000 per year saving plan in which you can pay monthly or quarterly or even lump sum, Allianz will give 20% of that RM10k for the first 10 years. So, you will receive RM2,000 every year. So, in total, at the end of year 10, you will surely get RM120,000. For the second half of the plan i.e from year 11 till 20, the GCP will be increased to 40%, so now you can get RM4,000 every year. The accumulated total should now be RM260,000. After year 20, you can stop the RM10,000 yearly saving plan. As for now, you are free from the commitment. However, if you wish to not withdraw all the money out, you can let it grow more and enjoy 60% GCP for the following years with Allianz. Say, you let the money for another 10 years, will you only get RM 60,000, so the total saving with Allianz from year 1 to 30 with the GCP is RM320,000 (20 years x RM 10,000 + 10 years x RM2,000 + 10 years x RM4,000 + 10 years x RM6,000).

Don't feel like it worthy, right? Don't worry. If you are richer, you can save more. The plan has a RM5,000 minimum plan, but no maximum plan. That means, you can save even RM10,000 or more with Allianz and enjoy higher return with the same GCP percentage plan. It is the consistency in saving behaviour that we are after, though. The plan just nurture the saving culture as the withdrawal is not as easy as the conventional saving account in banks. But, feel assured, I am yet to explain the other two features of the plan.

In this plan, you can still enjoy the benefit you have when saving with other conventional system i.e. having dividend and bonuses as per financial performance of the institution. With Allianz, the range could be from 2.9% to 5.0% (it could be higher, it could be less, no one knows). It does look pretty small figure I have to admit. Conventional banks give 3% to 4% average dividend, so Allianz should be at par with them. But, if you were to compare with other investment tools, for sure Allianz' looked smaller. The dividend and bonuses are given as per accumulated amount of the saving. If you have saved RM12,000 at the end of year 1, that amount would be multiplied with dividend/bonuses % to get the value you earn for that year. If you consistently follow the saving plan without withdrawing any portion, you will surely enjoy higher return from the dividend/bonuses%. Just as same as normal saving concept.

Just the last feature you will get of this plan, the so called life insurance (in bracket). In the case of accidental death, the beneficiary will get twice the amount you have gotten in Allianz. Bear in mind, this is purely based on your saving. So, the more you save, the more the beneficiary will get.

(NB: I haven't gotten my policy yet, so I may be misinformed or less informed about some details.)

If you want a pure product of life insurance, there is one plan in which you pay RM100 monthly and get RM500,000 coverage of your life insurance (I'm not yet subscribing this plan, so I am not briefed into detail about this). Yes, you may say that you cannot enjoy that big money nevertheless. But, think of the debts you own now (or in future). Who are going to pay those debts on your behalf when you are gone, if not your beneficiary? So, you need to leave them with peace in term of financial things. I am sure you don't want to burden your loved ones even when you are dead. Furthermore, from what I've been told, if you wish to buy a house worth RM500,000, you can use this as the home loan protection plan (don't mock me of not using the correct term I don't know), instead of the insurance from the banks you made the loan (which is higher from what people say?). If you died before paying completely the loan, the beneficiary can use RM500,000 to pay whatever necessary for complete payment. The remaining amount can then be distributed according to the fixed percentage you have allocated or just follow Faraid calculation.

Not that I'm promoting Allianz's products, I'm just sharing my perspective on the product. I just start, so I'm yet to explore on other investment tools that have low risks (I'm not a risk taker by the way). If I found a better plan/product in future, I would share it again.

Maid of Honour? Pengapit? Whatever you call it lah!

Sorry for the long hiatus. I am saying sorry to myself as I'm probably the only one aware of the existence of this blog anyway.

So, fast forward to the recent month, I entered the professional world. Yeay! After years of studying, I finally get to work as an adult, though it is a bit later than others of the same age. Alhamdulillah. Better late than never, right? The feeling? I am still adapting to the world full of competition among colleagues, in healthy way I mean. Not that I need to betray anyone or even use my own small fist to climb the ladder. I am cool, okay? Haha. Still trying to love my current job.

Back to my headline of post, I'll be ranting about my recent duties as Maid of Honour, in other word, the best woman (does the term even exist?), both to my primary school's friends. One thing I will say here is I am suck at this. I cannot tolerate on the etiquette of being the 'manager' to the bride though. It is just not my style. With those makcik-makcik's looks and stares lagi, urghhhhhh. So, I'll summarise my findings and hope if anyone happen to read this, please convey the message to the society, especially the bride and the makcik.

1. Never wear skirts or dresses or veils with length further than your feet unless you don't mind to get them dirty.

OMG. This one should have OMG emphasis. My plain mind just don't understand how these makcik-makcik think. Are you aware that I'm holding the umbrella or even the kipas? So if I am holding both, how do you expect me to pegang that extra length of kain? Hell NO. I am pretty sure the skirt/dress/veil is made to such length to sweep the floor. It supposes to get dirty, okay? Kalau tak nak kotor, pengantin, please jangan pakai kain meleret. It is clearly not your pengapit's duty to take care of your kain. Dah siapa suruh pakai kain meleret. Kan susah nak jalan. Plus, the rombongan yang mengiringi pengantin ketika bertandang, kalau dah nampak pengantin berbaju meleret jalan, tak payah la nak himpit rapat. Grrrrrr. Kang terpijak, salah siapa? Pengapit jugak sebab nanti makcik-makcik akan cakap, "Kenapa pengapit tak jaga kain pengantin?" Grrrrrr. Salah aku pulak la pengapit nak tersadung. Pengantin yang pakai kot. Maybe korang rasa macam aku ni pengapit useless, okay I take the blame. I won't blame my bride. But, please la masyarakat, get the fact right, okay? Those kain meleret bukanlah untuk dipegang oleh orang lain. Kain tu layak menyapu lantai. Tapi, kalau dah nampak tahi lembu, tak payah nak sapu jugak. Angkat la. Solution paling simple, designer tak payah buat kain meleret (tak boleh pon kan sebenarnya dalam agama), pengantin pon tak payah nak mengada pakai yang meleret tu. Tak kuasa okay nak jaga kain untuk korang sebab nak tutup mulut makcik-makcik yang extra risau korang tersadung bagai sebab kain tu orang pijak or kotor, okay?

Okay, get the focus here 'lebih-lebih lagi yang memang buat satu majlis je'.  Dah kalau satu majlis je, matter pulak tuan rumah tak boleh makan sekali dengan pengantin masa sesi makan beradab? Gila apa? It is the memory that shall be created with both parties kot. Bukan selalu anak tu kahwin and makan beradab. Tak kan la tuan rumah tak boleh join? Mak bapak kot. And please la family member pengantin, just to ease the ceremony, could you just cooperate with the liaison personnel to go to the high table in case you are invited? Tak payah la cakap "tak kan akak kot?" Grrrr. Who are you at the first place? Kakak pengantin kot. Dah ada extra seat, makan je la. Susah sangat eh? You know, masa bertandang ke rumah pihak lelaki ataupun bersanding di rumah perempuan, both parents are eligible to sit at the high table. If tuan rumah memang insist and cakap siap-siap from the start (ni yang memang dah manage properly and ikut style masing-masing) tak nak makan beradab di rumah sendiri, then fine lah. Mak cik pak cik yang lain, tolong jangan bising eh? Tak kan la tolong jaga booth kat entrance majlis untuk setengah jam pon nak berkira? Kata adik-beradik. Kerjasama la sikit.

3. Pergi bergambar bila orang dah ajak mula-mula

Kalau ikut trend majlis kahwin zaman sekarang, selalunya ada DJ. Kalau tak de DJ, someone must be there to assist on this matter. Orang dah ajak kot awal-awal, jom pergi bergambar kat pelamin, pak cik mak cik dekk je kan? Lepas tu bila dah ramai nak ambil gambar pengantin, pak cik mak cik kena tunggu, tahu pulak nak marah. Sampai tiga kali buat announcement panggil merenjis dan bergambar kot? Lepas tu, tuan rumah pon tolong take turn and know your priority in treating pihak yang bertandang please? Dah tahu tuan ruamh, tak payah la nak ambil gambar dulu dengan pengantin. They are at your place kot, nanti lepas sesi fotografi dengan yang bertandang selesai, tadah la muka sampai lebam dengan pengantin. Apa? Sebab takut nak tinggal entrance lama-lama? Then, cepat-cepat la ambil gambar. Tak payah la time tu la baru nak cari saudara mara yang duduk dekat khemah masak, dalam rumah etc etc. Aih.... Tak faham.

4. Tell your pengapit where should she stand

Okay, yang ni memang salah aku 100%. Al maklumlah tak de experience. Blur memanjang. You know, dulu-dulu kerusi pengantin dekat pelamin macam satu-satu, and ada space la kat tepi untuk pengapit berdiri. As in, it is clear that pengapit can stand next to bride and groom. But, as the trend and design evolves from time to time, kerusi pengantin sekarang ada yang jenis the long curve bench, and I HATE it.  Where on earth do you expect me to stand and kipas you? Dah kata curvy, tak kan la pengapit nak berdiri depan pengantin. In my personal opinion, rasa macam cacat je. So dah jadi serba salah dah. Diri jauh nanti tak boleh kipas pengantin, dah panas. Nak diri dekat, takut mengganggu frame pulak. Aiseyh...

Walau apa pon perancangan anda, make it simple. Jangan complicated sangat. Pak cik mak cik jangan  nak meriah sangat mulut tu nak bising-bising. Dengar dek orang macam saya yang sangat fragile ni, terus hilang mood. Apa-apa pon, selamat dah dua orang kawan kahwin... Aku? Gitu....

Plastik

Sebesar besar industri pembedahan plastik di Korea Selatan, at least jarang drama mereka cerita pasal wanita bertukar wajah. Merebut cinta seorang lelaki/perempuan. LOL.

And that becomes another wonder on me. If you guys watch drama pukul 7 yang sedang hangat ditayangkan dalam bulan Ramadhan kali ini, anda boleh lihat dari episode 1 sampailah sekarang, the hero macam meroyan cinta heroin. The same script is repeated every single episode.

"Mama tau kan macam mana Ian sayang kat Mia"

"Kau tau kan betapa aku sayang dekat Mia tu."

And the expression of his memang sama. Berkerut. Mengamuk. Meroyan sebab heroin reject cinta dia. Rimas gila tengok weh. Dah la dengan rambut karat lagi. Tak kacak pon lelaki or perempuan rambut karat macam tu la.

Recently, I read on a post on Facebook and agreed on individu itu menegur pasal konsep drama melayu yang ditayangkan di televisyen tempatan, tentang cinta hero heroin yang muda (konon-konon baru balik oversea, terus pakai kereta mewah pergi kerja sebab mak bapak kaya berair). Macam... Semua budak oversea kaya ke weh? Mana ada. Come on la producers. Ceritalah pasal bagaimana pemuda-pemudi Malaysia ni struggle baru nak start hidup dewasa, nak kahwin, nak beranak, nak jaga anak etc. You know, when you portray these scenarios and add as well some tips on how we, as the nation can actually improve our wellbeings based on those advices/tips/examples shown on tv. Baru lah macam berguna sikit drama tu, konon-konon macam menambah nilai yang positif which may affect the citizen. Negara maju, pemikiran updated, bertambah makmur la Malaysia. Tak nak gitu?

Hurm... Despite my rant, aku tetap jugak lah yang tercongok depan tv tu ha, menengok yang entah apa-apa tu. Lepas tu mengomel sendiri.

At least, some of the dramas ada idea yang realistik seperti Pinocchio (realiti khabar berita yang sebenarnya ditokok tambah), City Hunter (rasuah dan politik) etc.

Rimas aihhh... Macam tak da keja lain. Dok cinta orang kaya, nanti ada bimbo dan dumbo dengki mendengki, lepas tu akhirnya kahwin. Plus, buang-buang lah cerita hero rogol heroin, jadi baik, lepas tu kahwin dengan heroin. Duhhhh...

Tolong eh? Saya sayang Malaysia, kenapa tidak anda?

Happiness of a boarding school girl

Haaaaa, tell me, what are the things that make you happy when you live in a hostel.

My first answer is, A VISITOR!

Since my time in UTP, I received a few visits from friends. Ida, Me'e, Top and today En Firdaus!.
Yeayyyyy! I was so happy that I treated him like a friend despite our age difference and status. He is my manager that is responsible of my well being at Schlumberger office. We were not that close at the office because I was a bit shy being myself that talk too much nonsense. So, while being at the office, I just speak whenever needed. I restrict myself for being too chatty because I understand where I am at.

But, as for today, when I just finished ranting on my viva performance to my friends, I received a call from En Firdaus. And, I became that 'gedik' girl that people hated. (laughing). I even asked him to come and visit me at the hostel with an ice cream treat in return. Actually, I just wanted to share my excitement about finishing the  presentation. Although, I had disappointed myself for not being able to perform at my best (my friend said I was too perfectionist that I always felt insufficient for everything), I just tried to let everything go. After all, things had happened and what I need to do now is pray and tawakkal. The presence of a visitor has always me good feeling to be cheerful at least for a few days. (laughing). So, people, do come and visit me later whenever you are free, okay? Although my time here in UTP is almost over, just pay me a visit whenever you are around me, okay? Hihi.

We are not 'katak bawah tempurung'

It does not feel complete if you live in Perak but never go to Gua Tempurung. My friend once said, it was in her wish list to go caving in Gua Tempurung which is famously known as the biggest cave in Peninsular Malaysia. How true the fact is, just google it online. From Pak Cik Salleh, the displacement of of the cave is 1.9km. BUT, that is not the distance you are going to walk through in the cave, since you will be climbing up and down the stairs to get to the checkpoints, and the net distance will be more than 1.9km. Oh, please look up for difference between distance and displacement if you want to know more. LOL

We had been planning for this expedition for several days. But, it turned out that I was the one who had less courage to continue. The morning we supposed to depart to the cave, I was being childish, whining and ranting as I did not want to go. I felt that I would be a burden to anyone else if I did not have that fitness to continue the expedition. When we finally decided to change the activity to ride on a banana boat at Teluk Batik, I changed my mind again to go to Gua Tempurung instead, after I finished taking shower.

It took half an hour to arrive at Gua Tempurung from Seri Iskandar. When we arrived, there were two other groups of five waited at the entrance. When we wanted to buy the tickets for Route 3, the receptionist said,
Only route 4 could depart now. If you insist to proceed on route 3, you have to wait for others to come.
Just imagine the next drama that turned up after that statement.
Are we really going in with Route 4? We just barely decided to come here. And, now we wanted to do the extreme one directly?
Fortunately, we managed to buy times to decide since one of us answered her nature call. LOL. The tour guide talked to us that we would be okay with route 4 as he would take us at our pace. Did I get convinced? Not yet. As soon as the friend returned, then we decided to buy the tickets. It costed us RM 30 per person, and RM5 per torch light.

We went in and followed the trail. The cave is dark (obviously), but could have been brighter if the maintenance is top-notch. The tour guide, Pak Cik Salleh explained briefly about the 400 millions years-aged cave history and some remarks. He pointed to some of unique shapes on the rock caves that are similar to heart, cow, elephant, and even a pregnant lady. But, it is up to our perspective to see that though. One may see the shape similar, one may not even agree on that. Art is subjective and it is up to individual's judgement. As we walked through, we tried to relate our poor knowledge from geology classes. Obviously, none of us had forgotten some of the rock's names and was talking nonsense based on our own interpretation. (laughing)

We crawled in the water, met a cave frog, arrived at the other end of the cave, sledged from a great height of rocks, jumped into a pore, etc etc. We had good times in there, thanked to the great companion. The boys were sporting, we took photos together and shared the thrill and excitements while being in the expedition. And, I did not expect that I met group mate from Projek Kalsom 17. It had been a while since we last met.

I survived the expedition safely with no injury. I only had two small bruises on my knee as I crawled on the clastic sedimentary rocks in the river. The experience is truly unforgettable. If you ask me to do it once more, I may say yes but I may say no at the end. (laughing). It depends on my fickle mood.

Nothing is free and easy in this world

I was blog walking and came across this story. The guy traded an amount of money in binary trading bank and the initial sum multiplied exponentially in a week. I was like how could this be true? The guy just drank coffee while money-making. Then I searched through the website about the bank and saw some news mentioning its service discontinuation. Why? Basically, it is just a betting on the commodity price. If it goes up, you win. If it goes down, you lose. So, what is better term to acknowledge this? Lottery.

Betting with money is not allowed in the religion. Logically, if you are depending on uncertainty, if you lose, you will lose badly. Some may have gone crazy. Some may have not.

The addiction to this happen when you are at winning. The tendency to become greedy is there if the reward is huge. You are going to repeat the betting, hoping that you will get richer next.

However, all of this is wrong, even if you think logically. How can you obtain an expensive items without even working on it? Even the conservation of mass principle state that mass in equals to mass out. So, whatever effort you put should be rewarded equally. That is how the norms work. Even if you want to eat, you have to open your mouth and chew the food. The feeling of getting full can only be realised when the food reach your stomach. So, nothing is magical in the real world. Only Allah is the Most Capable.

Inner conflict

I bet I really am in denial to go shower and work on my thesis tonight. Just finished watching two episodes of 'Return of Superman' and I had enough entertainment tonight.

It is 2016, and I am really excited to end the MSc programme soon. I wonder what my life is going to progress next. Will I be working? Or... Will I be furthering studies to PHD level, I am not sure. But, just now, in the evening, Dr Fadzil said, the Dr title is not really something to be proud of, really. It shows that people have the trust on you to carry out the research on your own later. At least, you can guide someone else towards achieving better improvement or solution to problems in your field area. When I think of that thought, I don't know if I have that ability. After all, taking up responsibilities is really a big commitment that requires your energy. I don't know what has been planned for me by Him in near future. What I can say now is I really want to finish my thesis and whatsoever and think about other things later.

World issue has been scarier nowadays. Divorce rate among young couple, zika virus, political and economical instability all over the world, these are a few things that makes me wonder more of what I really want in life.

Haram vape tapi rokok? 1.0

Tak faham dah orang kat dunia ni berfikir macam mana. Cakap, salah. Tak cakap pon salah.
Lately ni cerita kat berita semuanya berkisarkan cerita pembunuhan dan vape. Now tengah musim orang tembak-tembak. Senang terus mati. Tak payah bayar bil hospital or menjalani kehidupan cacat kan? I think thats how pembunuh think la kot. Sigh...
Beriyer pak cik tu marah "kasi can la orang melayu meniaga?" mehh... Dah kenapa? Kot orang melayu jual dadah pon nak tolong ke? Tak faham dah. On the other side, dah kenapa bila vape ni baru nak heboh-heboh. Rokok conventional yang dah lama gila jual tu tak nak pulak rampas? Tak kan sebab pengeluar rokok bayar tax banyak, ko rasa terhutang budi, so bila pengeluar rokok bising pasal vape, ko pon tak kasi jual nikotin flavour? Okay, not that aku sokong rokok or vape, tapi pelaksanaan undang-undang untuk kedua-dua isu ni macam tak parallel. Both are completely useless kot (though ada orang kata vape tu alternative yang sihat berbanding rokok). Jin je makan asap weh. Yang ko pon nk telan asap dah kenapa. Nak flavour, p order air kat kedai la. Semua flavour ada. Tak sedap? P pasar, beli buah, potong sendiri or blend buat jus sendiri.
Haihhh. Nanti orang cakap, susah la nak berhenti. Ye, aku tak pernah merokok and tak tahu sengsara korang yang susah nak berhenti. Tapi, still, if you are aware of the harm, kenapa buat lagi? Nak seribu daya, tak nak seribu dalih kan? (betul ke tak peribahasa aku ni).
Seriously, tak mampu dah tengok masyarakat suka 'jerebu' ni. Indah agaknya dunia korang ni tengok asap dimana-mana kan. Tau tak asap vape yg korang kata bau fruity sgt tu pon busuk jugak (though slightly less busuk la dari rokok biasa).
Senang cerita, tak yah vape, tak yah rokok. G tanam pokok buah belakang rumah, nanti dah berbuah, anak bini pon sihat makan sama-sama. Sakit apa? Sakit sebab 'merokok' jugak and sakit penat jaga korang bila korang sakit akibat rokok kelak. Tak payah nak cakap korang tak sakit now ke apa. Kalau lah korang willing to disect your chest, tengok la paru-paru korang tu.
I am afraid of our nation's future. Entah HD, entah kabur macam tengok tv tanpa antena.
This issue will be endless. Forever and ever sampai la each and one of us, tak kira pangkat dan pekerjaan, aware of bahaya rokok dan e-rokok ni. Nak kata pendidikan awal di sekolah or iklan di media massa tak buat? Dah buat dah.

Haram vape tapi rokok? 2.0

Hari tu dekat facebook dah berceloteh dah pasal vape. Kali ni pon nak jugak membebel again.

Majlis Fatwa Terengganu decided cakap vape tu haram. Syabas negeri Terengganu for that initiative.

Hurm... Rasanya, tak bankrupt lah Malaysia kalau tak terima masuk import tembakau ni. And tak bankrupt lah kedai mamak or kedai 7 eleven kalau tak jual rokok. Lol.

Hora Hoorey

Didi and friends telah menjadi penyanyi kegemaran Luqman semenjak dua menjak ni. Dia dah bosan dengan Upin Upin, so now nak kena cari benda baru. Huhu. Lagu Hora Horey menjadi salah satu lagu kegemaran Luqman, tapi aku tak de la nak cerita pasal lagu Hora Horey tu. Sebenarnya, tak tahu nak cerita apa. Tengah bosan-bosan tengok phone. Tv pon x de cerita best. Luqman tengah take a nap. Huhu

Towards the end of my third internship experience

People kept saying
What? Intern lagi?
Haha. Yeah. And I survived!

Exploration drilling office is not as happening as before. Its ambience is a little bit tense with a well being spud in a month time. And towards the end of the year, too many meetings need to be attended by my bosses to discuss on the strategic planning of the near future businesses. And I? Left alone without any proper official guidance from the supervisor. But, that is the reality that I have to accept. I am no longer a secondary school student that needs to be spoonfed the whole time. It is the time for me to be independent on searching what I really want to do and need to do. Or else, the whole three months time allocation for internship purposes will be wasted.

The inputs I gathered all these times are all from fellow colleagues and the subject matter experts. They are truly helpful and knowledgable in their expertise and I am grateful having them as my seniors in the industry.

InshaAllah if things go according to the plan, I will join the company in June and complete the seeding program in 2017. I can't wait to finally enter the world which the employees hate the most, can't wait to deepen my knowledge into that area. I know it sounds too ambitious but I need to develop my passion from now to be able to love my work soon. I do not want it to be the waste of my lifetime. Things have to be beneficial for me and nation and the niat is obviously Lillahita'ala.
Pray for me, readers!

Iklan kecantikan

Tak tahu lah ni jatuh tahap mengumpat ke apa, tapi tetap jugak nak meluahkan perasaan.

Recently, slot akasia tv3 akan ditaja oleh sesebuah syarikat produk kecantikan demi melariskan barang diorang. So, setiap kali iklan, mesti keluar muka duta produk dok promote. Aduhai... Ni yang tak syok ni.

Satu, gelak 3 harakat.
Dua, tertonggek-tonggek.

Tak tahu nak cakap apa. Macam... Perlu ke????? Dah tentu-tentu la ramai yang tengok drama tu mak cik mak cik kan. Tak payah lah buat iklan seksi sangat macam nak attract orang lelaki. Eeeee geli laaaa. Seriously tak boleh nak terima.

Iklan tu harganya mahal walaupun airing time dia short. Kang kata nak bertepatan dengan syarak, sifat hiburan tu sendiri dah salah, so baik tutup je tv, fokus tazkirah maghrib. Whatever it is, the main point is, IKLAN HARUSLAH TIDAK MENYAKITI MATA PENONTON, BAIK SECARA FIZIKAL MAHUPUN TIDAK.

Kalau anda sukakan hiburan pon, biarlah hiburan itu sesuatu yang after-effect dia tak terlampau negatif. Ni kalau dah sampai iklan pon menggeletis, commercial value produk tu pon entah ke mana, imej duta pon ke laut, yang tinggal? Cemuhan je. Hurm..

Just my 2cents. So, I pon merepek la sesuka hati. Hihi.

Old.

Sometimes we just wanted to be remembered, not always, but maybe during happy moments. But, things won't be as what you could have wished for always. As time passes, new people come, old people say farewell.

So, never take things too deep in a relationship, be it a friendship or even family bonding. No one could commit to a single person the whole life. Later, you may be forgotten and that is reality.

Appreciate what's in front of you.
Don't look back.

Padang Jawa - KLCC menjadi destinasi harian kami. Pelbagai ragam dapat dilihat and I learned about the do's and dont's while using public transports.

1) JANGAN KENTUT

Benda ni terpaksa di stress kan kat nombor satu of dont's thingy. Eeewwww apakah?? Haip... Dah banyak kali happened. Pernah sekali tu, aku terus pindah gerabak. Wengg la. Tahan je la. Nanti keluar train, kentut sangat lah. Menggangu gugat kestabilan emosi betul.

2) MAKE SURE BAKI KAD RAPID / Touch n Go MELEBIHI KADAR MINIMUM YANG DITETAPKAN

Haaa macam mana nak tahu berapa kadar minimum? Ni apa yang kawan aku cakap la. Let say you board from KLCC. The last station would either be gombak or kelana jaya. Make sure baki kad melebihi harga klcc-kelana jaya. Tapi tak tahu lah teori ni betul ke tak. While writing ni pon aku tengah terfikir. If we have rapid card, it will cover STAR's station too. So paling jauh would be ampang, petaling, sentul kot. So, tinggi nye minimum? Hurm... Better tanya kaunter tiket untuk info lanjut. Kenapa aku cakap ni? Sebab, orang-orang yang tak cukup baki and stuck ni membuang masa orang belakang. Again, emo.

Tapi kalau ada pak cik ktm or pak cik polis bantuan jaga depan scanner, ha sila lah ke kaunter untuk membuat bayaran lanjut.

3) JANGAN BERKUMPUL DI DEPAN PINTU MASUK

Aihhh dah kenapa la nk semak je depan pintu lrt or ktm tu? Jalan je la tengah sikit. Banyak lagi ruang, banyak lagi orang boleh masuk kot.

Ha macam tu lah hari-hari dok mengomel dalam hati.

Teringat masa intern 2013 dulu. Dari cheras station, kena naik STAR. Tapi kalau pukul 7.30 pagi, memang padat macam sardin. Time tu dalam hati macam "eeee sorry la akak. Saya kecik je. Tak bergerak pon akak kat tengah tu masa saya masuk."

4) MANDI PAGI

Dah bangun pagi tu, mandi la... Yang nak jugak naik public transport tak mandi pagi tu dah kenapa. Aku ni dah la pendek. Kot kau tu tinggi, obviously bau tu boleh tersebar kot kalau kau pegang handle atas tu. Haip...

5) BERATUR DAN JANGAN MEMOTONG BARISAN

Bayangkan kau elok-elok dah beratur tunggu ktm or lrt. Tiba-tiba orang potong barisan dari tepi or tengah. Nak jeling pon tak guna sebab orang tu ignorant sangat. Menyampah okay. Cuba la bertimbang rasa sikit. Semua pon nak cepat. Menyampah.

Haaa, rasanya tu je la kot. Dah nak sampai  Padang Jawa dah ni. Hehe. Conclusion nya, jadi lah pengguna yang berhemah. Kalau anda menyenangkan orang, orang pon akan menyenangkan anda.

My weekend in october

It has been three weeks since I started my on job training program. What have I learnt so far? I am not sure how to answer that question to be honest. Everything seems vague. I just got back from ROE training back in INSTEP. Yes, I went there for the second time for almost similar training I had in April. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this time's visit where I clearly saw several procedures happening at the land rig. The knowledge and experience, I shall thank UIDA and PETRONAS for giving me such opportunity. I even learned  the way to make bees go away, okay? Haha.

On 10th October, the Malaysia's Prime Minister officiated 'Hari Sukan Negara'. Although I was not directly involved, I was happy to see the reactions from fellow Malaysians towards this event. The news reported the scenes from all states in Malaysia, and everyone seemed happy and active in their participation. What did I  do? I just sat at the pavilion and watched my sister playing hockey for her IPG hockey tournament. Some teams were okay and some were not. So, of course la ada part 'sayur dan mensayurkan' happened. Hahaha. The first day of the tournament ended at 3 pm and we headed to d pulze in cyberjaya for early dinner. Susah sangat nak decide makan apa, last last I suggested The Chicken Rice Shop. Haaa melantak masing-masing sampai dah tak mampu minum air dah. Alhamdulillah...

And today, I woke up to the sound my nephew made. That 1.5 years child would never fail to wake everyone up so early in the morning. Bak kata ibu, "orang tahajud dia tahajud, orang breakfast dia breakfast.  Puas dodoikan dalam buaian satu jam. Dia tidur 5 minutes je". Omelan ibu is never ending. Thats how lively my nephew is and the feel of being home is always felt whenever  and wherever my nephew and mother are at.

Tomorrow, the daily routine of an routine has to be continued. Ya Allah, permudahkan urusan kami... Amin..

My 2 cents for Dr S

Dear Dr S,

I am sure this does not reach you. If I ever dare to convey this to you, here are my 2 cents about what is happening right now. I know I am being seperti anjing menyalak bukit, not relaying the message through the right channel and just memekik tanpa hasil.

First, it has been a while since I sabarkan diri looking at your mismanagement on this program. I know you have to handle a lot of things. Plus, to align it with Petronas is burdensome too. Petronas has never failed to make things complicated at the very end and acts like they have not done anything wrong. I am speaking based on my experience as well where Petronas has never said anything on my recruitment status after few months of graduation, yet I heard they took non scholars into a job  exactly after a week of interview finished.

Back to your mismanagement again Dr S, I just could not brain on why you still insisted of not sending any email to us even after we personally requested it just to officiate this sudden call. Are not everything has to be written, for recording and also for legal purposes? Say, if we all claimed that we did not even get the message, are you not in trouble by then? (I know you can counter it back by presenting the text messages on whatsapp or phone). But still, why on earth you do not inform us anything before hand and just jual nama kitorang tak pergi briefing hari Isnin to PCSB?

I think this kind of communication skill, you as a lecturer should have known better. Or else, I can suggest to UTP to allocate you into a management course taught by David Marshall. LOL.

Just imagine, IF and only IF, my coursemates did not ask the officer about our internship status, we could have been going selflessly to the tower and registered ourselves for internship on Monday. You never told us about them postponing the date of internship. Also, for the briefing, you have never told us anything too.

Please Sir

If this kind of situation keeps happening in future, I suggest to abolish this course forever, so you do not have to sakit kepala handle kitorang and Petronas. Being a guinea pig is not okay, trust me! Everything is uncertain. I am 24 and does not secure my job yet.

I hope this kind of thing won't happen again in future. I think every job has to be done sincerely, so the result will be fruitful. If you make things easier for everyone, eveyone will do the same for you too, inshaAllah...

My girlfriends dah kahwinnnn!!!

Minggu kahwin sedunia la last weekend. Semua orang nak kahwin. Satu kat utara, satu kat selatan, dua kat klang valley. Dua hari sabtu, dua hari ahad. Sebab dah belajar jadi VIP hari tu, kali ni, tak nak la jadi VIP. So, I attended dua majlis only. Satu ahad, satu sabtu.

Hari Sabtu, I went to Felda Ulu Tebrau di Ulu Tiram, JB. Sampai kenduri pon dah pukul 2 lebih, perut memang menyanyi lagu keroncong zapin bagai dah. Lapar weh. Keluar rumah dah pukul 9 pagi. Alhamdulillah nasi minyak and lauk sedap and orang dah ramai beransur pulang, so tak la segan sangat nak hulur pinggan lama kat mak cik mintak tambah nasi. Hehe. Masa tu Saidah pergi solat Zohor. Kitorang helped ourselves lah. Datang je Saidah kat meja kitorang, terus mintak kek kat atas pentas. Haippp tak senonoh punya kawan. Hahahhaha. Tapi, siapa pulak nak makan kalau bukan guests kan... Kitorang tolong untuk tidak membazir je. Hehe. Usai makan dan bergambar, the boys ajak g JPO. Aku pon jakun sebentar la. Tapi tak bernafsu tengok price tag beribu. Hahaha.

Dah pukul 6.30, perut pon lapar lagi. Shafik ajak makan mi rebus kat zz sup tulang. Meraban cari restoran tu. Haha. Waze ke laut, google map pon ke laut. Akhirnya kitorang jumpa jugak la kat tropika apa ntah. Sedap alhamdulillah... Sampai rumah dah pukul 12 malam. Thanks guys bawak aku jalan-jalan. Hihi.

Hari ahad pula, reception Ashraf dekat Dewan Perdana Felda, KL. Sebab kan formal dinner, nak gila-gila pon segan. Dah la duduk depan high table pulak tu kan. Sopan-sopan je makan. Kesian ekor udang tu aku tak habis buang kulit sebab takut terketuk pinggan. Haipp... Second time attend formal dinner kat hall. First time masa Malam Selingkar Kasih form 5 dulu. Nevertheless, kitorang enjoyed the night jugak la. Emcee of the night tu nyanyi sedap gak. Tapi dah macam gila mic dah aku tengok. Banyak gila lagu dia nyanyi. Dari satu ke satu. Dah macam free concert je ha.

Buat shima, saidah and iliyas yang baru berkahwin and ashraf yang dah 3 minggu kahwin, good luck in your new life, jaga hati pasangan elok-elok. Semoga berbahagia sampai ke syurga. InshaAllah...

Untuk aku? Tak pe lah. Long way to go. Hahaha.

Okay, apa motif kau tulis benda ni weh?

Hurm... Actually, recently ada la sempat nak berdebat pulak pasal interest masing-masing tengok naruto dan korean drama. Masing-masing pon ketegaq, nak gak menangkan naruta dan kdrama masing-masing.
Aku pon tak paham la apa yang korang suka sangat tengok naruto/kdrama tu.
Kononnya, naruto pon memberi sumber motivasi. Siap ada link blog post lagi.

So aku counter la,
Drama pon ada pengajaran dan motivasi. Just penonton kdrama pemalas nak menulis.
So, ko tulis la?

Hurm....

Tu lah. Nak menulis pon malas. But I'll try, yeah?

Salah satu cerita yang aku suka recently is pinocchio. Kiranya, konsep berita sahih tu sendiri dah violated. Sebab wartawan yang menyampaikan tak semestinya menyampaikan perkara yang betul. Bila tengok cerita tu, kita belajar la jangan percaya media bulat-bulat. Selidik dulu cerita sebelum nak share. Application dalam real life? Facebook. Sekarang ni memang zaman fitnah. Orang share cerita entah apa-apa kat fb senang je, tekan je butang share tu. Lepas tu. Bagaikan skim piramid, orang lain pon share, dah cerita tu widely spread.

Storyline favourite aku is cerita action mcm 3 days, bridal mask, city hunter. Kalau cerita medical related, good doctor and yong pal. Kalau cerita cintan cintun yang best, autumn in my heart, secret garden, and the time we were not in love. Mesej kurang.

Main point kat sini is, tak kesah la cerita tu cerita apa pon, kalau penonton tu pandai menilai, pandai mengambil pengajaran apa yang patut, rasanya tercapai je objektif penulis skrip tu. Tapi, kalau yang tengok tu sekadar nak tengok 'crush' or 'bias' dorang, memang tak jadi apa la.

Bukan membuta tuli.

Actually nak tulis lagi. Tapi tak de idea. Tak pe la. Next time la.

Kau yang kahwin, Aku yang VIP

Cuba korang bayangkan betapa YB nye korang kalau dah kena attend banyak majlis dalam satu hari. Mana nak kejar masa nya, mana nak kejar peta nya, mana nak kejar kepochi nya, bergambar la, makan la etc.

Suppose aku tak dapat pon nak attend semua majlis. Tapi dah rezeki, kawan nak tolong bawak kan, lets lah!

Tunggu punya tunggu, konon nak gerak pukul 11, tapi pukul 12 baru gerak dr KL Sentral atas sebab musabab yang tak dapat dielakkan. Sampai batang kali je dah pukul 1. Tp surprise gila pengantin dah hilang hantar hadiah balik rumah. Pengantin dah siap makan kot. Hebat-hebat. Usai makan, kitorang pon bergambar macam biasa. Geng drama, dah kahwin tu, senonoh senonoh sikit. Jangan tengok drama banyak sangat sampai lupa lauk dalam periuk tengah atas stove, eh? Hahaha.

Journey to the second destination agak mencabar. Nak sangat ikut cakap waze. Ha sampai bercalar bumper bawah kereta. Waze bagi jalan estet. Jalan halus gila. Bengkang bengkok. Dok berzikir je semoga selamat je. In a meantime, kawan-kawan lain dah tunggu sekian lama  aku nak datang. Pengantin pon dah tak tahu nak buat apa. I was so VIP. Aku sampai je, terus semua habiskan sesi bergambar and chow.

And aku? Teruskan perjalanan ke third wedding of the day. Sampai kem wardieburn dah pukul 5.30 petang. Abang askar pon kata dah habis majlis, tapi kitorang insist gak nak masuk. Just sempat ambil gambar dengan pengantin dan dayang-dayangnya. Sempat jugak KLMJ and menjejak kasih.

Pukul 6.30 kitorang terus gerak ke kem sungai besi untuk our last majlis iaitu open house rumah panglima medan barat. Makan kambing sedappp. Tak sangka terjumpa iman kat situ. What a small world betul.

Penat habis dah.

Pengajarannya, jangan nak paksa diri sangat ke sana ke sini. Tak naik pangkat lagi, tak nak attend semua. Pergi mana mampu je. Nanti dikejar tak dapat, yang dikendong berciciran. Rancang perjalanan anda.

Untuk shikin, thanks for the day. Next time boleh repeat lagi kegilaan kita. Hihi
