Atashinchi no Danshi

Description: These days, the term "homeless" has taken on new meaning. There are youths referred to as "net cafe refugees," who have neither a job nor a place to live, but who find themselves hopping around internet cafes. One such refugee is a 20-year-old girl named Chisato, who lost her mother at a young age due to sickness. She spent her youth trying to escape from the huge debt her father left her, and her battle with the repossessors unfolded every night. However, her life changed after meeting one man named Shinzo, changing her views on the meaning of "family." Shinzo comes from a rich family tracing back to the Edo period, and he adopted six good-looking sons with the hope of one becoming his successor, but all of them have strange personalities. Shinzo promises to free Chisato from her debt if she marries him and becomes the mother of his sons. However, a life with these six guys under one roof will not go smoothly.

An idiom which suits this drama the best is 'every cloud has silver lining'. Everything happens for a reason. Even though you may complain about your own real life, just bear with it, a shine will come and liven you up one day.

As you can read on the above description, the seven heroes lead a thorough life before being adopted by Ohkura Shinzo and the way they were taken into the rich family weren't under their wills. Each one of them has different family background and their pasts seemed to be a sad memory for them. So Shinzo who was actually a lonely man who inherited a 10th generation wealth adopted them in a hope that one of them could be his heir before he left the world. Gathering them in a Trick Heart Castle did not manage to bring the sense of family between them. They did their own businesses and lead their own life. They were just strangers living together. Seeing the scenario, Shinzo found his daughter on the way of escaping from debt collectors of his step father. He saved and informally married her. In return, she had to accompany him till his last breath and be a mother of his six adopted sons.

Many conflicts happened after Shinzo died. Chisato was responsible to unite them and achieved The 10 Mother's goal in order to pay the 100 millions debt which Shinzo had paid before. In the Trick Heart Castle, Chisato played a big role as a youngest mother to six good looking sons which had variety of behaviours. His first appearance in the castle didn't seem to be welcomed by the sons, yet they tricked her enough to kick her off the castle. Chisato nearly gave up each time she tried to approach them but whenever she remembered Shinzo's good deeds and charming fatherly talks, she stood up again.

Time passed and Chisato had gathered them well. They were all having sad pasts and once they shared them and looked after each other, the bonds grew stronger and may be even stronger than people who were blood related. Every problem was solved with spirit and unity. They then started to realise what Shinzo really wanted them to be. Shinzo had planned all the tricks before he died and let the secretary of his to guide them throughout the journey to find the inheritance. As Shinzo was an inventor, many of his inventions were displayed along the story line. He wished that all his inventions could be beneficial to people on easing daily life work. At last, after they really got united, they finally found the real inheritance that Shinzo left for them. The inheritance was Ohkura's golden bars and a book entitled 'Kirokuri Castle and the Seven Heroes'. They read the book and decided on the property Shinzo provided them. Shinzo was actually teaching them what a real true treasure he cherished the most in his life which is 'FAMILY'. None of them took the golden bars and they decided to cherish the family they had now. Chisato was the happiest person among them seeing seven heroes together. (seven including her as a hero as Chisato was actually a biological daughter of Ohkura Shinzo with his true love, Chisato's okasan).

Family, after all has given an impact in our life. Even though we do not realise how much we care of it that much, when something happen, we always get back to our family to help sorting out the problem. I learned a lot through this drama. It taught me the value of sibling-hood and family, love and friendship. You might not get all of these by even 100 millions yen, you may only get these through your sincere heart, loving and taking care of people you care the most. Every moment you spend time together with your family members, make sure it is the best time in your life. So whenever you want to put it an array of your book of memory, those best times would flip on the pages of that book. Appreciate everyone when you still have time. Share the feeling either good or bad (if you really want to). Don't have it all alone or else you may end up doing something stupid which may harm yourself.

Get Here (If You Can) lyrics

Song performed by Oleta Adams, Brenda Russell, Justin Guarini

You can reach me by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach me on an airplane, you can reach me with your mind
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just- get here if you can

You can reach me by sailboat, climb a tree and swing rope to rope
Take a sled and slide down slow, into these arms of mine
You can jump on a speedy colt, cross the border in a blaze of hope
I don't care how you get here, just- get here if you can

There are hills and mountains between us
Always something to get over
If I had my way, then surely you would be closer
I need you closer

You can windsurf into my life, take me up on a carpet ride
You can make it in a big balloon, but you better make it soon
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man
I don't care how you get here, just- get here if you can

I don't care, I dont care, I need you right here right now

I need you right here, right now, right by my side (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

I don't care how you get here, just- get here if you can.
